Altenbochum
Altenbochum lies approximately two kilometres south-east of Bochum’s city centre, and is a very densely built residential and mixed use area, but which is nevertheless one of the most popular in Bochum.
The popular areas of detached houses are to be found in the north and west of Altenbochum. In Altenbochum’s southernmost district of Goy, you will find a mixture of detached houses and multi-family buildings, plus a little industry and small green areas. Altenbochum lies approximately two kilometres from the city centre. It enjoys excellent transport connections, as access to the eastern ring road (Sheffield-Ring) and bus and rail services can all be found nearby. The main railway station, with connections to Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund and surrounding towns and cities, is approximately 5 minutes away.
