The apartment is protected in the quiet garden at the back of the building – as soon as you leave the house you are at Crelle Platz where banks and a fountain invite you to linger. The atmosphere there is reminiscent of an Italian piazza – there are restaurants, cafes and a pedestrian zone with organic shops etc. – in general there are many shops for everyday needs, restaurants and shopping opportunities – not least in the larger malls on the main street, which are within walking distance. It is a beautiful little neighborhood – David Bowie already appreciated this, as he had his house here – one street away – in Berlin. The Kleistpark subway station, which leads directly to the heart of the City West, is within walking distance. And the Julius-Leber-Brücke S-Bahn station, which provides a quick connection to the heart of Mitte to Potsdamer Platz, Unter den Linden, Friedrichstraße etc. The other direction of the S-Bahn connects you to Schlachtensee and Wannsee as quickly as possible – this is particularly nice for people who love nature, but this route also takes you very quickly to Potsdam. The apartment is also conveniently located for train travelers, as it is close to Südkreuz, where most ICE trains from Berlin heading south stop. The airport is also very easy to reach by subway and bus. The apartment is less than half an hour away by taxi, so it is really well located – especially centrally located with regard to southern Berlin.
